Antique Chasing Machine

This is a Charles Field Antique Automatic Engraving Chasing Machine from around 1900 – for sale at Gold Machinery. Many automated versions of a chaser very similar to this one can be seen in operation at the Parker pen factory in the photo on page 117 of David Shepherd and Dan Zazove’s book “Parker Duofold”. It was capable of automatically engraving the patterns on 6 pens simultaneously.
