Parker Frontier Flighter GT set

The Parker Frontier line ran from 1996 to 2012, and was released in various incarnations. Most versions were made of ABS plastic, with a stainless steel cap and a gold-plated steel nib. This set is the Flightier GT which was entirely in brushed stainless steel, and with gold-plated trim.

The fountain pen in this set has the date code Y.II stamped on the cap, which means that it was made in the second quarter of 2006. The roller ball has no date code. (For a detailed list of Parker date codes, see this page. )

Generally, the Frontier was an economy pen, with prices starting around $20. The fountain pen is unused, with the original ink cartridge still sitting in the case. The rollerball was obviously used, and suffered from leaking over the years. The pen has been cleaned and is now in excellent condition, and a new rollerball has been installed.

The pens are pictured with a custom notebook folder. More information about that can be found here.
