Sheaffer’s Imperial AS9

I don’t need to say much about this pen, since there’s a good description of the slightly weird history of the AS9 on penhero.com. As Jim Mamoulides writes on that page, it’s an obscure pen that, as a result, is a bit of a mystery.

The Imperial AS9 has the Sheaffer “Touchdown” filling system, a single-tone Triumph nib, and no snorkel. This means that it should be easy to identify using the excellent chart at chart at peytonstreetpens.com. However, this combination doesn’t show up on that chart. So, I made a slight addendum, shown here:
