Caran d’Ache Madison 925

This Caran d’Ache Madison ballpoint pen is made of solid silver with a diamond pattern (but no actual diamonds), with a silver-plated clip. It was made in Switzerland, probably in the the 1960’s, and is in excellent condition.

It’s been cleaned and polished thrice (it took some work to get off the old tarnish – especially in the grooves in the twist knob at the top of the pen). I’ve also installed a new Parker gel cartridge, so it writes almost as smoothly as a fountain pen…
